After two successful stints at Welcome to Nowhere festival, 5ever books opened the Whatever Palace at 113 Taranaki Street in December 2024, thanks to Urban Dream Brokerage. Since then, the Whatever Palace has become a thriving community and art space in the Wellington CBD.
The palace is open from elevenish to wheneverish every day and is always free. As of February 2025, the Whatever Palace is now at 115 Taranaki Street, thanks to Ash Holwell.
Since opening in December, there have been a total of XX events over a total of 3 months (sometimes there are even 3 events within the same day)! AND... After all of that, we were collectively able to break even whilst running the space and providing kai and a good time!!! Thank you to everyone who has contributed - the palace is yours!
